Neighbor Blows Snow In Face Of Man Trying To Clear Woman’s Sidewalk: Cops

A good Samaritan who tried to clear the sidewalk so his disabled neighbor and others could safely leave their homes was attacked, according to police.

Police in Eastlake, Ohio said 24-year-old William Immke was shoveling snow for his neighbor on Sunday.

When he started shoveling snow off the sidewalk in front of 69-year-old Larry Myers’ house, things allegedly got violent.

“I said I was clearing the sidewalk so kids could walk on the sidewalk to the school buses. And he said they could walk in the street,” Immke told WKYC.

Immke said he asked, “‘Are you stupid?’ And that’s when he grabbed me by my throat and my face and shoved me back.”

Myers told WJW a slightly different version of events.

“I says, ‘Hey man, don’t shovel my sidewalk. I don’t want that section of sidewalk to shovel, to be shoveled,”‘ Myers said. “He says, ‘Well what are you gonna do about it?’” said Myers. “I almost punched him, but I didn’t, OK. He kept telling me, ‘What are you gonna do?’ and I still had him; I grabbed him like this. I didn’t touch him on his face or anything else; I did grab his coat.”

Cops said Myers then got a snowblower, pointed it at Immke and shot snow in his face in an attempt to undue all the sidewalk-clearing work Immke had done.
